“50 years of La Francophonie – the view from North Macedonia”

Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani, on the occasion of the marking of the jubilee 51 years since the establishment of the Organisation of La Francophonie, at the premises of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs presented the exhibition “50 Years of LA Francophonie – the view from North Macedonia”.

“The exhibition, through authentic photographs from the Ministry archives, the French Institute in Skopje and other institutions, presents the French language tradition of our country, the place and the role of the French language in our society, as well as the Francophone culture, exchange based on the tradition of multicultural and multilingual reality of our country”, Osmani emphasised, taking the opportunity to present the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that will also be available in French from today.

At the exhibition, Ms. Adela-Monica Axinte, the Ambassador of the Republic of Romania - a country that is a member of the great Francophone family delivered an address, and the Ambassadors to our country who are members of the Organisation of La Francophonie, attended the exhibition.

The event was attended by Mr. Eric PoppeDirector of the International Organisation of La Francophonie for Central and Eastern Europe, with whom Minister Osmani had a separate meeting discussing the activities of the Republic of North Macedonia in this Organisation.
